Charizard turning into his Engulfed In Flames form for the first time is the reason why Lucario has a huge scar on his face, because Lucario didn't jump out of the way in time.

After experimenting fire with Charizard his entire body can produce gasoline from his scales, sometimes causing him to be engulfed by flames but still being okay.
