As I believe @SkillJim mentioned in the Shenmue Dojo stream, the photo of Xiuying and Ziming depicts the concept art of it, presumably as a placeholder (this was previously found in the files of the final game):

Shenmue fans - random request - was randomly looking at my Shenmue OST CD today in the little booklet that comes with it, each track seems to come with a little description (all in Japanese of course) - and was wondering if these have ever been translated by anyone?
