hehe i havent made a timelapse in a while so here is one for the latest doodle of the legends protags!! i wanted to go with an ukiyo-e/woodblock print resembling look this time :0

note, his boots are also 100% impractical. tbh i cannot give a sfw reason for why he wears them other than i think its sexy. sometimes that's enough for character design. you see he does not NEED heeled boots (he's literally 190cm, he's like raihan height) but its cute :)

aiori and tatsuya's pokemon au designs are intentionally taishou era(~1920s)-esque since i love the vintage vibe LOL. i want them to look slightly out of place all the time; like you can tell aiori's outfit is impractical, she quite literally lives in a different world of wealth

I’ve actually always struggled to design a proper “main” outfit for aiori, and it was only when I put more of my attention into revamping her pkmn au design last yr that I was like.... ah finally, it’s perfect LOL. it’s like a combination of outfits I’ve drawn on her in the past

it took them like 10+ years to give me a purple haired man after the iconic look of paul/shinji (yes the pokemon dp anime rival). yes its the reason tatsuya is purple too. im just SO obsessed with this colour sorryyyy
