The action sequence at the end was probably the most hype section of the episode. However, this right here was my favorite moment. It speaks volumes about Reiner's current state of mind and sets the stage for what's arguably the peak of his character arc.

TLDR: KINO.

If you're really interested in knowing how Artoria ruled and the real reasons that led to the fall of Britain, Garden of Avalon is right there.

Also, do yourselves a favor and read the goated Episode Zero of Umineko so you don't have to experience the inferior "sequel" episodes (?). 😉

@CzarYe14 Yeah, the original LN came out 10 years before the manga adaptation (2004). There's also a graphic novel that came out the same year as the manga (2014). About Moriarty, two strong episodes right off the bat so I have high hopes for the series. In IG prod we trust.

I knew people were gonna be quick to pick up on the Makishima/Kougami = Moriarty/Sherlock Holmes dynamic once the adaptation for Moriarty the Patriot came out. But it's pretty much impossible not to do so when IG themselves give you shots like these lol. #モリアニ #pp_anime

Yeah, production-wise, it wasn't perfect by any means. But still, the anime medium has charms that manga can't replicate. It wasn't just the writing. The backgrounds, the OST placement, and the direction were responsible to elevate the season despite its problems. Peak fiction.
