The Propeller Knight Character Challenge "Boy, It's Windy!" from Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon's Puzzler's Pack DLC was named after a meme made by user @MajorasCask_ depicting Puzzle Knight on a particularly windy day.

Random Knight, the character which chooses a knight at random in Shovel Knight Showdown and Pocket Dungeon, is meant to be one of the statues from the Hall of Champions. This was told in the 2022 "Brawl with the Devs!" event, and is reflected in his early art.
