Get it? A tourtière (Canadian meat pie) that's a turtle/tortoise? I'm horrible, I know. XD
Also based on Chinese softshell turtles (which are farmed for meat) and the Zhubieyu, a mythical pearl-producing creature possibly based on the softshell turtle!

Getting back into uploading my #fakemon with some mud pie turtles :3
They're raised as livestock in much of Sundo's wetland areas, but aren't as common in the wild. You'd think the farmed ones could be released, but some fear they may not be able to survive on their own. :(
Or, for that matter, "girl bust with enigmatic smile", and the occasional snarky streak. https://t.co/5N1SqLTG4a
I couldn't resist. Have a cute noodle girl. 🍜🥊

This line also has gender differences - females have red wattles and markings, males have yellow! The ratio of females to males is 2:1.
And here's an alternative color scheme with turquoise instead of green, both to make it look less Grass-type-ish and as a nod to Xiuhcoatl, the fiery "turquoise serpent" from Aztec mythology.
I was bored and on work break, so I decided to do
a quick redesign of @Subjectively_5's Fire Starter line, based on the Mesoamerican Feathered Serpent! I went with a fireworks/pyrotechnics theme, since it kinda fits the celebratory, prestigious aspects originally intended.
Lastly, this line has gender differences - females have eyelashes and, in Marspicable's case, lack whisker-mustaches!
This line has gender differences - the females have paler plumage in some parts, and in Fancifowl and Pavonair, they lack the long tail feathers of the males!
Forgot to reblog this earlier, but this line has gender differences! The throat pouches of females in all three stages are white!
