In the undercity, we see 2 masked figures. They look like from the nation of Ionia (Basically East Asia in League) probably Kinkou order, but the symbol on their mask looks similar from the Bloodmoon skin line in League of Legends.

The volatile crystals we see in the first episode are called hex crystals, but in reality they're the crystalized soul remnants of an ancient race called Brackerns. The champion Skarner hails from this species.
