Luke and Asch 1v1 battle, also from game's OP though slight differences

Luke and Tear's scene here seems to take the place of the Nighttime Albiore scene from the game's opening, though also transitions to Luke's conflict/antagonistic relationship with Asch.

Seems to borrow some content from the game's actual opening (showing the rest of the party members battling random enemies), though also includes a preview of the episode within the opening itself.

And then the opening itself. Major plus points for keeping Karma for the theme song; it would've been a crime not to.

I have to say, I really liked how they transitioned from Yulia to Tear here.

I'm mostly hoping to focus on changes between the game and anime but I'll also try my best not to spoil major plot points beyond the episode in question, for those not already familiar with the story.

Anyway...on to Episode 1! Starts with an intro/preview for what's to come.

As promised...my (very brief) impressions/review of the Tales of the Abyss anime! Right now I'll try to catch up with the ones that have already aired on the official Tales YouTube channel, then will try to post weekly as they come.
