Didn’t have much time today due to getting things sorted (still not finished!!) but wanted to look towards more Elisabeth Sonrel pieces for reference. So this mare is a bit rushed…

I rarely draw human faces, in fact it must been over 2 decades since I last attempted one. But my brain wanted me to draw Blackbeard from Our Flag Means Death because…reasons…So here is my attempt at him with some tentacles. Apologies in advance to #OurFlagMeansDeath #ofmd ppl

But I am unable to draw human faces and so they have been substituted with horse skulls. I tried to make it easier to know who they’re meant to be with the symbols in the background ha!

I wanted to practice some more fabric so did a rendition of Elisabeth Sonrel ‘s Catherine la Rose with a mari.
