3/ Therapy can be very expensive. This is why people lean on wise people in their communities, like trustworthy church leaders, or colleagues etc.
Especially the USA, where healthcare is expensive, not always accessible, and sometimes even actively trying to avoid helping you :(

2/ And even then, remember that medication and other coping mechanisms can help you stay afloat, but you still need help to get out of the ocean.

And there are lots of normalized copes too: beer, nicotine, caffeine, sugar, and even porn is getting normalized.
