I catch a face in the trees. I look again and it's hiding in the shadows. It is there because I can feel their eyes watching me. I'm being watched closely, I know it. Everything suddenly comes alive. I wonder:
Do the trees think?
Are they conscious?
Were the indigenous right?
I look again and there is novel symmetry - reflections of essence - not identical copies. Another entity, grinning the same, but unique and waiting for me to unfold further. For now they just point towards the center as a focal indicator.
"Look in the middle." I wrote down.
There are these little "entities" beginning to come out of no where. Hovering in mid-air, they weren't there before. They grin and pull distorted faces in my peripheral. But when I watch them closely the faces go away.
The bands of color are a consistent detail seen. It's as though the processing regions of the brain simplify the external world. It's how there can be accentuated facets on 3D objects. How the world suddenly looks like a "cartoon". Banding..
It's why I create superflat works.

It is historically important.

The books are the stories you tell yourself about your life. They are exactly as represented - contained, externalized, compartmentalized stories about who you are, and your role here in the Mystery. There are multiple books, multiple stories.
None of those stories are real.
How can you transform the most mundane of objects, a chair, to suddenly have the most pull and desire.
The chair specifically needed to have both straight and squiggly legs, as though the chair was transitioning between two worlds too.
A slanted angle for an eye, a wiggle for grin, a crescent moon for a beak. How can I trigger the early detection areas of visual cortex without allowing them to cascade through to object recognition?
The rabbit hole is the mind. The mechanism of navigation is the imagination.
