@RubberNinja topology really depends on the model/character you created, with the imp i needed a decent topology to bend but when it comes to robots such as this fine fella as long as i get rid of the obvious un-necessary tri's you are generally fine, just keep bits that make the shape
@RubberNinja im still new to this, it will have been a full year in a week or so but generally speaking i make the shape with subdivision and mirrors, and then remove any edge loop that doesnt add to the shape, and create extra edge loops around areas that bend, still an amateur
