So, I was listening to Wings of a butterfly by HIM and I told Rho that maybe the only way to save kit would be to take away their aether. Ripping off the wings of a butterfly.
Kit is learning to control their aether and for now, things are okay.
The mark was augmenting a bad guy group did to them. It enhances aetherical uses and increases function in combat and self regeneration. They wanted to create the perfect weapon. For now they have it under control... but.
