the more i think about it the more i really like the sprites change from IS to EP, maya specifically looks younger, which is interesting bc IS is played from the viewpoint of teens who see her as an authority figure, while ep is from her own perspective while figuring things out

lots of talk about it being ugly and impractical on the tl lately so I thought I'd share that i always thought the black mask outfit and helmet are a visual reference to the berserker armor (from berserk)
