really, the series is definitely worth a try - and not just for 'filling time till next pokemon'. it's like digimon, in that way - it's not actually quite a clone of pokemon. yo-kai watch is adjacent to nintendo's hit, but it's still doing its own thing, in story and in gameplay.
going through the ps4 spring sale and now fixated on "one of those jump crossover fighting games but entirely for mexican comic characters"
off the top of my head "funniest to be voiced by principal skinner" anime character picks
another 'i know my audience' bonus pitch: in Dragonfall, one of your crew members is Eiger here, an enormous troll sniper. she takes no shit, ESPECIALLY not from you, the player. she completely rules.
and in a "i know my audience" extra pitch, one of the new characters added to Wild Guns is Doris. Doris fights by throwing explosives instead of shooting guns. Doris fucking rules.
i love how the bike heat action in yakuza is just one second of smashing a bike down on somebody and leaving them like this
decided to check out hifi rush properly and i know i compared the lead to "a hypothetical reboot of Captain N" but reaching in further, the overall design is clearly more "reboot of The Bots Master"
