while im thinkin abt this. i feel like my art used to be super washed out so i pivoted to actively trying for lots of colors/contrast. not only did i have a monitor that washed everything out terribly but i was v timid b4 abt being too eye burning

Very glad to share this finished commission for my dear and wonderful friend @ambe_e, of her oc Kohaku!!! It makes me so so happy to draw friend ocs, especially when they're ones you've kinda grown up with in a way :-)
painting practice 1 with corey? maybe? mostly i just played around with colors/shapes until i got a face. this is my first time Not using any linework at all in the process and im really enjoying that so far
some doodles in between projects...playing around with how i want to draw the bellhop. was thinkin abt the idea of her naturally moving 'backwards' and so having this really uncanny disjointed looking motion perhaps? #thehotelpodcast
i think im starting to feel better with drawing? maybe? this is a redraw of a like. 10 second btas scene of batman accidentally frightening a telegram courier. i was gonna give the owner more dialogue but i think its funnier if he just randomly did this

i feel like if this were a tv show, the episode would've ended on a laugh track and star wipe after that last line. i'm still reeling

The Lobby Boy...I'm super proud of this whole sorta corner of the drawing but trying to crop it for a close up was a bit of a challenge. I don't know if I like the entire stair sequence or the LB sequence more
The Owner, the Manager's TVs, and the Manager. The TVs were the most fun because they were the easiest place to fit in references. My favorite thing about the Manager is how she's described as smiling 'with all of her teeth.'
Some close-ups of The Hotel staff based loosely on their descriptions by the guest in ep 4.6! It's always fun to get the guests perspectives, especially when they're so delightfully horrific.
