My AU includes two parallel worlds: 'Ripple', in which the characters live mostly as normal people (some special things here and there), and 'Wave', a fantasy world with a heavily expanded Pokémon aspects.
In both of them, 'humans' and 'Pokémon' are the same, hence the gijinkas.
