apparently there was also a comic adaptation of Gargantua by Giovan Battista Carpi! I remember his work from the Italian Disney comics. his art has always had a lot of character.

this comic was mostly an excuse to draw silly faces

and yes, he has eyebrows. they're just barely visible underneath his bangs, but often I just opt to not draw them at all unless an expression calls for them, haha
