shoutout to megaman zero for having like 4+ decently written and memorable antagonists in a game series that was up to that point known for finding ways to repeatedly bring back and make you fight the same guy at the end of each game
i admire capcom for having constantly tested what shit they could pull with mega man while calling itself "mega man" and it's like all good.
"fuckin uh megaman but he's antivirus"
"shit bro get ready for megaman warcrimes"
"kamen rider fourze but um. mega man"
"hayao miyazaki"
Kamen Rider Ryuki: Episode Final
this was fun! KR Femme was an awesome new addition, even if she got dirtied. the changes are rather curious as well from a metanarrative standpoint. it's a lil disjointed because it starts in the middle of a different timeline, but it was fun.
@corverous they're so special honestly
the Zero series is a real standout and probably the closest to my heart, toru nakayama's just got such a cool style and it really suits those games and their darker aesthetic
nakayama's designs for megaman zero just kinda rock. the way he does mechanical stuff especially is like the fucking coolest, his design sense and style are just so distinguishable
they don't stick out in my head as much as the X Mavericks but MMZ's mutos reploids are real cool. i love their obvious animal appearances but compared to the X bosses they're colder, more mechanical. it's only appropriate, as they were built explicitly to fight and protect
WAIT
Weil was punished by being converted into a cyborg who would always regen and be kept alive against his will
ok
but the liquid in his... head-glass has no purpose?? what if it's just to give him the constant sensation of drowning without being able to die from it? bro
