@asshead42069 Casshern Sins!
it is indeed Tatsunoko - it's a reboot/alternate take on the 1970s Neo Human Casshan, which most in the West are probably familiar with through TvC
12. i've changed Root's design a lot as is, but now idk!
visually i'm the most proud of them of all, from color palette to general look, they feel like my magnum opus design that i won't top for another 5 years 😌
11. i said, and i quote, "i want to make a cute robot"
some are more obvious than others, but i just took some of my favorite inspirations and characters and mashed them together until i got something i liked... out of all my OCs they have the most of what i love in them, i think
3. They have a sort of "overclocking" function - the gems on their body change color and they can boost things like speed or strength. Activating multiple boosts at once has a chance to damage their body - they can also multiply the intensity of a boost, at great risk.
just relaxin for the night. this is my toaster child! (thanks to @/ezume_90 for art)
root is my favorite OC design-wise though
i feel like i say it a lot but i think i kinda peaked with them, both design and palette-wise. and they kinda have a little bit of the DNA of some of my favorite characters combined into them... so that's always really good
@staroftherogue WHEN THE ART DOES THAT THING WHERE THE LINES GET ALL SKETCHY
only thing i dislike is that Smash mimic'd it too hard despite modern tech - it's a cute homage but he looks downright soulless in Smash because it isn't taking into account that Rock's blank face on the sprites was a design limitation and not how he actually is https://t.co/8gbaSWsHd5
