I got some questions about my studies, so here's the start of one. The most important part of painting to me is the drawing, and drawing is design. Breaking the image down into shapes like this, trying to maintain the original image's read, is the best first step I've found.

All 4 characters from the game as well! These were so fun to work on. I started with the old man as the least important character to establish the look of the rest of them and broke a lot of the rules I had set with him when I got to the monster.
