@CaseyExplosion This thread hits way too close to home because this is exactly how my own fursona helped me.
Decided to draw him as a doe on a whim, the design stuck, and a year later I’ve realized I identify with both versions equally. I think.
I’m still figuring this all out through Helix.
@AshKetchumSays It definitely helped me! It’s like a virtual canvas for trying out choices of expression. I did it with my main ‘sona but any character would probably work just as well.
Telegram group is exchanging art gifts today! Got this wonderful headshot from Sunaroo!
I’m still working on a dedicated ref for my ‘sona, so here’s a few images to function as a stand-in until I get one finished! Hope this is adequate!
@Deer_ebooks I mean here’s one I did a while ago to try to improve my bottom-tier digital art skills is this good enough
@allosaurex It's in three pieces spanning two art styles and two sexes and one of them was super inspired by you but here ya go, this gives a decent idea of the design
Helix can be drawn as either a man or a woman and they're both equally valid versions 💜
@faunbutt Reference in three pieces spanning two sexes and one is mildly questionable ayyy
