(6) The "why do I hate this?" stage! Sometimes inevitable, a near-scrap overhaul. Very crucial, if initially demoralizing. I was trying to add energy TO blue, and went back to a "less is more" approach, using a deep ochre as a base. More collaging! Here are some Photoshop notes.

(5) The Mockup. I start with colors first, with only a guess on which skull pose I will use. The mood and composition has to match up well, and color is the foundation. I collaged my art for this- I labeled it so you can see the contributions. VERY FUN stage.

A VERY rough look at a project I'm tackling this month. If I take it slowly and am forgiving of myself, I can learn some new things. Like rendering dragon wings! :o

Plugging away on my #CriticalRole tarot project and am sort of in love with this stage every time I get here, where things are sort of smokey and big pieces are still moving around.
