I love how GX gives us a blatant spoof of Duke Togo from Golgo 13...and it's noteven the FIRST time Duke Togo's been parodied in the franchise, considering the assassin back in the manga's Death T arc.
>Saio manages a literal 0-Turn-Kill with Arcana card BS to blow up Ojin with his own satellite cannon
>Society brainwashing makes him hand over the keys to a LITERAL WORLD-SCORCHING DEATH SATELLITE
Judai over here just like "Haha cool card games" you sweet and precious brainlet..
The "Genex" title may be a remnant of what GX's original title was going to be. I remembered back in 2004 (and double checked just now) that the show itself was being dubbed "Yu-Gi-Oh GENEX" and "Next Generation" was on Takahashi's first teaser image after the manga's conclusion.
I Betrayed My Master and Gained an Evil Deck and all I got was this Lousy World Tournament Invitation
Poor Manjome is so far gone that the Ojamas have to root for Misawa.
The boys deserve a better person to root for lbr.
This episode kinda rules for just being really different.
Even if the opponent is some net-dwelling loser down bad for Asuka his deck turning the duel into a literal quiz show is fun.
Especially when Judai is so stupid he fails everything but the physical endurance challenges.
Half this episode is Kenzan simping for a goth gf and I mean: I feel you, dude.
