I did a few of these a couple of years ago. It’s usually collages of my own photos but I took a couple of things off the internet here. For instance, the wind farm is by me but the UFO is part of an oil rig.
I’ve been redrafting older pictures lately and working on new ones and 4 of them were all suddenly ready on one day. @marswasrubbish
@simonvarwell It kind of reminded me of this Tilda Swinton painting by her ex-husband John Byrne. Apparently, this actually did take 20 minutes.
I am drawing a cat for somebody’s birthday. It’ll be more realistic in style to my last effort.
Only just heard about Paula Rego's death. Struggling to find my favourite painting of hers. They were all great. Haunting, furious, unsettling and beautiful.
Re: Why Bother. I did an art project in 2020 of monsters drawn in pencil quoting comedy shows I liked and this was Why Bother.
From May last year and drawn with an actual pencil on an old diary, “Priestess Schmestress” @marswasrubbish
A little reminder I have prints for sale on @marswasrubbish and Etsy for £20 each this week. Among the reviews I’ve had are “Almost like proper drawings” and “Better than that NFT wank”
Reposting yesterday’s painting like one of those needy accounts we secretly mute. This is called “End of Night Shift”
