Best Game story, don't know if I can answer properly
But the most compelling to me were Xenogears and Xenosga, because they feel connected and like different takes/ideas of the same story
I also love the implications and study of the Gunvolt universe and each game unravels more
favorite genre would probably have to be platformers/metroidvania and boomer shooters
but I think that's obvious
Favorite antagonist
I love arch rivals that have nearly as much character as the hero
So characters like Risky Boots, Dr Wily, Bowser, and Dr Eggman (Dr Robotnik) are my favs

For best on genre
for me Best platformer is a tie with some of the Mario games and Hat in Time
The best shooter goes to something like Duke Nukem or classic Doom
best rpg is tough, since all have different mechanics
Best Soundtrack
For me I love most of the games in the Sonic library, and I've been listening to the Hat in Time sound track a lot too

Fei and Elly from Xenogears was pretty good
But I also like the Mario and Peach relationship, and the Amy and Sonic relationship

I'd say I'm probably very similar to Shion from Xenosaga 1
