I got to see @thepoetmendez read for the Gulf Coast Poets a couple years back. I am thrilled to have this book on my shelf. I read it in pieces. There's a lot to chew on, but damn it's all good.

This book got me through some rough times while living in TX. Weaving through abuse, mental health, relationships, I would read through this book and have to step back from it sometimes. It's a book that will never leave my collection.

I was fortunate to meet this poet in person as well. Edward Vidaurre had yet to put a book out that disappoints, & this one will forever be my favorite. @VidaurreEdward

Straight Men by @Howl_folf this is a book that gets me. It's gruesome at times, erotic other times, it's a solidly brutal book to read.

I'll probably add more to this list later, but whenever I think back to what I've enjoyed in horror fiction, these books come to mind!

I've been unemployed for most of the year, laid off in Feb. I've been working on maintaining one business, & launching a new business. It's been tough, but I'm proud of the outcome. I'd be wholly appreciative if you could check it out!
