I can't really fill out one of those monthly art retrospectives because 2021 was a roller coaster for me. The first 8 months were comics-made-while-yelling, then a couple of months of forgetting how to human, then somehow it was December?

But I can post a couple that I liked!

@paintedbees My actual favourite hasn't made an appearance yet and he's a walking spoiler, but my next fave is my very unwilling protagonist, Jahrd, who would probably love to quietly go to school and be a scholar but keeps on getting dragged face first down the road by destiny instead.

The safe-for-work versions of a commission I finished for @JN_Squire. Aeza/Jahrd is definitely not canon, but I can see where the idea comes from. Fluffy cuteness! Good brushies.

Going back to the whole Patlabor thing (because yes, quietly, I'm still on that - craving to put an "Ask Me About the Police Mecha Anime" tag on my shirt) I think I know exactly why I like the mech designs in that anime so much.

Sketched up a month or so ago. Some of my co-workers occasionally bring their pets into the office, including this one well-behaved kitten in a harness and coat. Doodled from memory so the markings are probably wrong, but whatever, man. Kitten coat!

A very, very popular flower in the small town where I grew up. I really wish I could grow them now. I love sunflowers.
