The most expensive design in Britain's 1955 interceptor contest was de Havilland's DH.117 at £937,000 per aircraft or £22.5m in today's money. A Eurofighter costs £125m! The DH.117 was designed to hit Mach 2.35 with 2xGyron Juniors and 1xSpectre rocket. 👉 https://t.co/YwU0IS8zPr
