GGPR #13: I know this is technically TWO PANELS, but... my favorite thing to try and do in the comics is to jab some of the ridiculous stuff from the show (like everyone wearing the same color everyday) and hopefully use them for an emotional payoff... like in this scene.
GGPR #12: (Spoilers) This was created because I promised Dan that I'd somehow find a way to let him draw all the iconic moments of the Green Ranger in a book that didn't feature the Green Ranger. It was designed as a mosaic, not Tommy remembering everything from Shattered Grid.
Dead Day is done. All scripts are in. Now... we drink.
Pretty proud of this one so I hope you all like it.
GGPR #9: This is one of my favorite morphin sequences. It was originally a completely different full page idea that I ended up having to scrap because I didn't give myself enough pages for the Ranger Slayer fight. This happens to me a lot, but sometimes good things come from it.
GGPR #7: I loved that GoGo gave us the space to show the little moments in the Ranger's lives, like... Kim and Trini getting their hair done. And even better, Dan remembered to keep the pink and yellow streaks in their hair for a few issues after. Sadly, I'd completely forgotten.
GGPR #5: This is one of those lines you probably shouldn't write, and then you do, but you say, "They're never gonna let me keep it." And then somehow, they do. I loved digging into Rita's past and hope to get to do it again in the future.
GO GO POWER RANGERS #2: The idea was: What if, when Kim meets the Ranger Teens for the first time, it's not friendly but hostile? Truth is, I don't think I actually knew what "Salad Girl" was referencing when I wrote this line so I had to trust my future self to figure it out.
GO GO POWER RANGERS #1: Trini has not only become maybe my favorite character to write because of her amazing empathy toward her fellow Rangers, but... she also gives me the opportunity to do "Oxford Comma" writing jokes.
