Just learned of the passing of artist Mick McGinty, who helped craft the look of video games in the 90s with his iconic commercial art:

I pieced my thoughts together after completing #FinalFantasy II for the first time via Pixel Remaster. While held back by a few opaque mechanics, abusable systems, and a severe anticlimax (in my experience), I think it's worth playing through.
