We’ve bid a fond—temporary—farewell to our great Winslow Homer painting, Undertow, as it heads to for their big exhibition, Winslow Homer: Crosscurrents, opening April 11. Great chance for our NYC friends to see the painting on their own turf.

Victoria Dubourg received early training from a woman painter, but honed her skills copying works in the Louvre’s galleries. It was there she met her future husband, Henri Fantin-Latour. Often overshadowed by his success, Dubourg’s exquisite floral studies testify to her talent.
