And now for the p̶e̶r̶s̶o̶n̶ ̶i̶ ̶d̶r̶a̶w̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶l̶e̶a̶s̶t̶ 6th member of the team, Junpei! He is 2nd in line to the Kamiki family business of making protective gear. Despite this, Junpei has no interest in taking over and dreams of becoming a tattoo artist one day.

Enter the fifth member of the team, Hitoshi! Hitoshi *looks* wild, but he's actually a very grounded "mother hen" for his best friend Shun. Besides that, Hitoshi is the youngest of 4 siblings. Their family runs a ramen shop by day, and a bomb-making shop by night.

Next up is Shun, the heir of a small but powerful family, the Kimura clan. Shun was born with weak health and is heavily protected by his calm, yet strangely enigmatic father, Sho. It's an open secret that Shun has been crushing on Akashi since they were kids.

And we have Akashi's best friend, Akio Inoue! Akio is the leader of his clan, the Inoue, and they're enemies with the mysterious Wakaba clan. Akio's signature catchphrase is "It's crazy, but it works!" and he lives true to it every time!

The next character is Sayuri Hiiragi! Sayuri is 100% an advocate for women's rights, and cares greatly for the welfare of women in general. Sayuri came from a town full of lush greenery and homecooked food. Her family own a wealthy silk-making business.

The first character is, well obviously Akashi Yumegatari, the protagonist himself! He's someone who likes to stand out and thinks of himself as a "hero-in-training" even though he comes from a family of thieves. He's a big fan of western pop culture!

Now I know I said I won't spoil but this one is crucial: At the end of Akkasayu, shit happened and Akashi never got to free Un. He died before he could do that. Akkasayu ends in the year 2012, fast forward to 2040 and we have Akashi and Sayuri's granddaughter, Tsuzuki.
