When David McKee & Clive Juster formed their production company, King Rollo was the first cartoon, hence King Rollo Films Ltd.
King Rollo was another fabulous character created by David McKee. Here he is with his cat called Hamlet.
A huge wave & Good Luck to those running The London Marathon in fancy dress. You raise millions for charity and I salute you.
King Rollo Films Ltd was set up in Honiton in Devon by David McKee & Clive Juster.
They met at the BBC in the childrens department where David was making Mr Benn.
Their friendship blossomed and a few years later, King Rollo was born.
On this day in 1980 King Rollo was first shown on tv.
