To kick off #NationalTreeWeek we are looking at the role of trees in historic parkland.
Landowners planted trees not only for aesthetic reasons, but also for their value once harvested as timber for the navy, fuel, building, and furniture.
Join us at 6pm tonight for a talk on research by Dr Susanne Seymour into Transatlantic Slavery's Long Reach and its impact on C18th estate gardens and parks in Britain.
