(1/7)Sonic's Saturn art direction and design are what I consider to be "pure" Sonic. Since there was no core Sonic title for the system, didn't need to reinvent Sonic like Adventure did to fit a style that could serve as a tech demo to showcase what the Dreamcast could do.

Metal Sonic's character design is about as perfect as a robot Sonic can be but more people need to appreciate S3&K's Mecha Sonic and Adventure's (according to Archie) Silver Sonic II. Fantastic mech designs.

At the end of the day, the character's designs can and HAS done both and will continue to. We can stop now.
