Day 29 of #MerMaychallenge is the Marbled hatchetfish! It is absolutely necessary for tanks inhabited by these beautiful fish to have a tight lid, as they can and will jump when startled!
Day 27 of #mermay2019 is the pretty Cherry barb. Barbs are carp like Goldfish or Koi.
Day 26 of #mermay2019 is the Kribensis and it is my first cichlid and first fish from Africa!
Day 21 of #mermay2019 is a tribute to Miss Bristlely who passed away last year.
Day 18 of #mermay2019 is the Dwarf chain loach! Doing the 3 things they love doing Eating snails, sitting onto of each other and playing dead (they sleep on their side/back so look like they are dead). Trust me I've fallen for that many times! I ahve 6 in my tank atm!
Day 14 of #mermay2019 is the Betta. Famous for males fighting to the death and females not being that much nicer to their kin also. Males can be very pretty but certain fin types can lead to health issue in later life.
Day 11 is the Bronze Cory. I like to have both Bronze and Peppered Corys in my tank. They are very easy fish to look after. I like catfish! Did you know 1 in 4 Fresh water fish are catfish and 1 in 10 fish is a catfish!
