In opposition, Phoenix is... A goofball. A goofball who wants to help others the best he can, but a goofball nonetheless. He is both from a story standpoint, and *physically*, entirely the opposite of Edgeworth.

It describes Edgeworth's cocky, pompous nature, and that no matter what happens, he KNOWS he's going to win. It's an "Oh no, I've fucking *got you* now."

And when he doesnt, his total physical breakdown is so telling of how he interprets Phoenix, and the court as his playground.

You start to recognize and become comfortable with the impressive body language that each character represents, and how they physically SHOW OFF in the courtroom is just as important as any text that you might read that describes them.

Edgeworth's finger waggle is MY FAVORITE.

Both Dave and Karkat are two of my favorite characters in Homestuck in general, and I’ve sort of always liked them together, way before anything even really established them as a solid ship. Bisexual in denial meets ANGRY ASSHOLE who he can share everything with.
