Palolem Beach in Goa is probably one of my favourite vacation spots. @DanPGWatters @RyanOSullivan @adityab and I spent about a week there drinking cheap booze and eating at the shacks till odd hours of morning. Good times were had.

Darius' look in the last issue is based off of my grand uncle whose love of telling lies and performing magic tricks is probably a pretty big reason I'm a storyteller.

I love chawls - which are a uniquely Indian architectural manifestation. I grew up next to one - old and rickety structure with rows of rooms or "kholis" - full of immigrant families come to live in the city for work, dreams. I made a lot of friends at chawls when I was a kid.

My blackbird obession comes through in other books as well >_>

Gaiman's Death books were a massive influence of course. This line here, is a nod to that influence :)
