The organisers have decided to cancel the constantly-postponed #SailorMoon Prism on Ice show! 😢 But there was art by Naoko for this, which they’ve published! They’re also selling goods intended for the performance soon! https://t.co/1nBVf2RLBC
@ChibiMokonaPiff @YapapaMirage Wow, good catch! I went to check out the manga after seeing this tweet and it looks like Naoko sometimes drew Kakyuu’s hair like that too! It looks like the hair separates and comes back together depending on Kakyuu’s movement!
@KaleaSilver I was wondering if Usagi’s eyes were light blue to match Minako’s, but it seems that Minako’s eye colour is an even darker blue than Mamoru’s!
The last spread from the #SailorMoon All Colour Complete Edition is when Usagi finally meets Neo Queen Serenity face to face. While Neo Queen Serenity is characterised by the colour white, the rainbow effect hints that her light contains all the colours of the spectrum.
Another spread from the #SailorMoon All Colour Complete Edition, which has one panel spanning across the top half, showing the total disappearance of Nemesis from Crystal Tokyo’s atmosphere, giving way to light once again.
In these back-to-back spreads of the #SailorMoon All Colour Complete Edition, Naoko uses the layout to show different vignettes happening simultaneously, just as Sailor Pluto uses her powers to stop time.
Conversely, there are loads of full spreads in Volume 4 of the #SailorMoon All Colour Complete Edition! The top panels span across the spreads, creating a sense of action as Black Lady wreaks havoc on Crystal Tokyo and sends huge aftershocks into Usagi’s present-day Tokyo.
#SailorMoon has been near and dear to my heart for almost 30 years now, and I am so happy to know that the manga’s story will finally be fully animated in such a beautiful style. There were so many bumps along the road, but we’re getting there, fellow Moonies.
@Miyu_1316 Also, while Usagi recognises that she is Serenity, she also declares that she is first and foremost Usagi Tsukino when she tells Luna she cannot stay on the Moon at the end of the first arc. Perhaps this might explain why her hair remains blonde, as it is part of who Usagi is?
@Miyu_1316 Also, if I recall correctly, we only see Mamoru’s vague memories of Serenity in the first arc of the manga, but even he doesn’t have any clear idea what she looks like or that she’s actually Usagi.
