awhile ago, i wrote an article about community management talkin' about how to deal with bigotry. people really seemed to find it helpful, so i'm writing another one, this time about the hardest stuff i've ever dealt with. it's long, but hopefully a good read. should be out soon
as always @niteliteghost did an excellent job! follow them or i will scare you
people talk about valve comics a lot, but i rarely see Lab Rat brought up. it’s a haunting, bittersweet interlude that serves as a fun final hurrah for portal 1’s more down-to-earth and grim tone. it’s filled with really clever panelling and beautiful art. i like it a lot
as a fan of half-life *and* body horror, jeff and his early designs are just too good
i can congratulate Half-Life: Opposing Force for being probably the only game in existence with a dedicated haiku command. it turns a violent high-octane military shooter into an introspective journey where you use art to cope with yourself and your violent actions
Dark Seed is a 1992 point-and-click adventure game inspired by and including the work of H.R. Giger and it is honestly a fucking crime that nobody talks about it
everyone is discussing valve third-party collaborations again which sucks because now i just keep remembering the time they put the space core in skyrim. this is so unimaginably funny to me
