This started as an old piece from last year that I'd originally almost fully finished using a pencilly style. Turns out pencil stuff's not 100% my jam, but I still liked the idea of it so I recycled it!

Just wanted to share some process images from the lich illustration last week!
I learned/re-learned the hard way, that you REALLY should do your thumbnails in the right aspect ratio from the start. Otherwise you're just gonna have to re-balance everything again later.🙃

Local legend warns of the lich seen wandering the university ruins, looking to drain the life force of wayward youths.
The many birds who frequent the campus tell another tale: that of the friendly scholar whose love of nature couldn't be ceased, even by the icy fingers of death.

Still working on figuring out this style with a western hognose snake!
