Did a couple fandom valentines for the tumblr crowd, but I'll share them here too for the two or so people here who like #onepiece and #lordhuron fanart ;)

Just a bit of character sketching tonight, featuring Cobb Avery's incredible cheekbones. Seriously, dude could've killed all his enemies with just those alone.

This bird from an upcoming project will end up not being used in the final version, so I'll post him here so he can see the light of day! This is a Cape Bulbul, a bird from South Africa. One I've never seen myself, but hope to some day!

It ends up being something of a worldwide tour through time and space, and some of the birds I was asked to do I had never even heard of, which was excellent - and some, of course, were very familiar. Here's one of the former, and one of the latter. Do you know them?

Just finished a whole suite of over 30 species of birds for a project. All quick 20-30 minute drawings. Super fun, I've never done anything quite like that and it turned out to be an amazing #SciArt exercise in quick anatomy sketching. Here's a little preview of a few.
