Just finished a whole suite of over 30 species of birds for a project. All quick 20-30 minute drawings. Super fun, I've never done anything quite like that and it turned out to be an amazing #SciArt exercise in quick anatomy sketching. Here's a little preview of a few.

Good morning #PortfolioDay! I'm Lauren, a biologist & illustrator with @InstBirdPop. I paint birds + other wildlife ... And sometimes fanart, but who doesn't, right? ;)

Pssst it's #NationalBirdDay post birds 🐦🐦🐦

Portrait and lighting doodles as I continue to not be over Vide Noir (will I ever be, no, obviously not)

For @Opheliiax, who I was matched up with for @OP_SecretSanta for #OPSecretSanta2022! Happy Holidays!

It's #BirdArtWeek2022, and today's theme is #PaddlingAround - a prompt tailor-made for ducks and other swimming birds, which apparently I have done very few illustrations of! I'll have to fix that. Here are some old sketches of birds doing things with water, haha.

Just me doing more fanart for one of the world's tiniest fandoms. I hope I can recapture this style though, I'm really enjoying how this turned out for a quick sketch.

I know this will vary from person to person, but as an artist with similar numbers of followers on both twitter and tumblr, I think this pretty clearly shows why I prefer tumblr for sharing my art. People can actually find and enjoy things on tumblr! I recommend it!

Hey #AnimalArtistsUnite! I'm Lauren, and I mainly create #SciArt of birds and other animals. Should you ever need to find me elsewhere:

Reposting @LordHuron fanart because I just watched Vide Noir and it is absolutely *gorgeous* and so so very satisfying. Well worth the long wait for the release!
