Making all the things line up - hard. Grench is pretty much a combo of Wolverine's looks and Deadpool's personality. So looking this serious is not his usual MO.
I kinda messed up my stylised head sculpt (didn't keep backups of different mesh parts...). Gonna challenge myself to try and sculpt a bust of my DND character, Grench, instead.
Just gotta make a front and side reference and some refining because this is what I have...
My invite for Dall-E came through yesterday and something I really really wanted to do was get it to make kids drawings and then use them as a prompt. Very very fun✏️
Think the power to my PC isn't enough for Blender...Been trying to finish off my gladiator sculpt and it keeps abruptly shutting down when I try to pose the guy😑
So instead - I painted my very first hammer.
The finish line is within sight (I think). Maybe one more weekend and I'll be done making this thing. It will have taken me about 2 months (working 3-6 hours a week) from start to finish altogether but learnt loads.
Finally blocked out all the armour/clothes. This whole thing is taking so much longer than I thought it would but it's getting there.
I just want to finish it and make it look coooooool already.
I don't ever colour other comic artist's work. But I ended up doing up this piece by Nick Bradshaw of Wolverine so breakdown how I approach colouring. Fobbed it a bit in terms of water/rain etc because I was just tryna' get it done fast lol.
