I was about to fall asleep when I realized that, in the original Evangelion series, Katsuragi Misato is actually the LEAST crazy S-tier character in the show. I say "least" because she's STILL crazy for being involved in an organization that lets kids pilot giant biblical robots.
#ArcaneLeagueOfLegends just made film history, where it was nominated for 9 categories in the 2022 49th Annie Awards, and won all 9 of them, including best TV/media for a general audience, direction, writing and production design.
In the hands of less-skilled storytellers, an airhead like K-On's Hirasawa Yui might come off as obnoxious, but Yamada Naoko and KyoAni made her an industry-changing icon of warmth, kindness and optimism.
I often still play this classic show in the background while I work.
