more experiments with a limited drawing style of animation, reusing assets and compositing practices for future small scale independent productions
the whole corridor digital controversy made me want to explore the AI alternative EBSynth. Not really AI, but example based synthesis. I hand painted four drawings in the animation with "california crisis" look in photoshop. Here's an early experimentation
been experimenting with a style and approach that allows me to animate hand drawn things super fast (the head shots here took approx 30 mins from scratch, whereas the waist shots were 30-45 mins longer)hopefully I can make room for independent and original productions.
i've been writing a bunch of stupid scenarios and gags for super short anim clips, but here are some throwaway designs from those. the aerobic guys i did my 48 hour film will make a come back.
when you learn that the Nintendo game with the blue fox stole the game from an entirely new original IP called Dinosaur Planet. I think the original Dinosaur Planet planned for the Nintendo 64 deserves some love. #starfoxadventures #dinosaurplanet
recorded footage for a possible video on what i think about when adapting designs into animation
a joke i drew on my private discord. alternate universe Sarah from dusk's flight thinking of a buff tournament fighter. I feel like I would attract a niche community with this one.
Background images I painted for the Dusk's Flight short. My friend Thanh Dang did a few pieces of background styles, which I sampled by hand (Have to clarify this isn't AI bullshit) when I painted the rest of the backgrounds. I learned a lot of new digital painting techniques
Dusks flight transformation sequence line tests. Shout outs to @NazeehTarsha and @LaurenSynger (who did a terrific job screaming as Sarah) for their wonderful voice acting. @Filmcomposer87 for music and Patrick macdougal for sound design
