I just saw a video discussing Disney's original Pinocchio from 1940 and the narrator made the point of stating that Jiminy Cricket is effectively Disney's Kermit the Frog, which I can't unsee.

I'm developing a new duo and it takes inspiration from these four pairs.

I've been toying around with my own idea for a Christmas story. It would involve a kind hearted postal worker, who gets offer the job of being the new Santa, the old one would be the villain of this picture.
And incase you're wondering why Kermit's here, he'd be the narrator.
