Eating the food they cook, going to festivals with them, discussing light novels-- moments with the Traveler are small indulgences Ayaka allows herself on top of what she thinks of as "escapades". These small things are stuff she considers herself lucky to have.
Ayaka's own desires, her ambitions, and her own personal concerns are something she usually keeps locked away in her heart. Because to her, they are nothing more than an insignificant dream-- wishes with little to no possibility of coming true.

@mintflowerss I'm sorry that was your experience 😔 I like to believe though that despite everything aeyaka goes through, the pairing still remains the same at its core-- that is, Ayaka being in need of a companion who understands her heart, and finding one in Aether. I love drawing them 🙏
