11) Revue Starlight. Which is also not obscure, but I don't get to talk about it all that much, so it goes on this list! I love musical anime, and musical theater even more so. Revue Starlight explores a lot of themes about the takarazuka revue and also has a LOT of symbolism.

7) Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun is the first on this list that is actually... not that obscure! Nene is honestly an adorable protagonist and the rest of the cast end up being super endearing. I still want to learn more about Hanako and why he ended up becoming the way he is.

6) Remake our LIfe! Honestly, I went into this series going "It's a time travel plot! I love time travel! Can't wait to see how trashy this is going to be!" And then it was actually surprisingly good? Crazy. Anyway, Eiko is best girl, fight me.

2) Iwaihime. There seems to be quite a bit of discourse about this one, as I've seen that a LOT of people seem to hate it. But it shares a lot of the same themes that Ryukishi is known for writing and I think it was an enjoyable read! Also it's 50% off on Steam until the 31st.
