my Pokémon fanart is by FAR my most "successful" but it was also reposted to hell and back, so I feel like the association got lost https://t.co/8MNcAPcpOL

sneaking in some beauty marks bc self love and all that jazz
(I'm almost done!)
i have the same mindset for my chibis!
left one is painted; i sketch in all the shapes and chip away at it with clear color and painting on mostly one or two layers
right one is proper lines and flats
it feels wrong to line the left style or paint the right one
lineart and I have a weird love-hate relationship
left is my usual style; no lines, just clean overpainting (i "paint" lineart on the same layer as colors)
right is proper lineart + flats + shading; it's not a workflow I do often but it IS one of the few times i ADORE lining
